Move the Cause of LibertyHuman liberty bears an ancient history of struggle. Fundamental to moving its cause in modernity is understanding the root causes of why this struggle seems to be perpetual. Tracing this struggle through its brightest and darkest days, back through the Enlightenment, the Renaissance, the Roman Empire and the glorious Republic that preceded it, the Greek city states, the Hebrews and the Mesopotamians--this foundation is essential to know in order to place our modern struggle in proper perspective. This is a central theme of the Great Conversation of the ages that we partake in through the classics. It is truly educating for liberty--indeed, the original meaning of the liberal arts. This foundation, combined with the virtues of the ages, can produce modern leaders who can eventually mature into the statesmen that are so needed today. Our mission is to cultivate those attributes in our students so they can move the cause of liberty worldwide. Our purpose is to help bring about good government everywhere.
