Director of Recruiting

 

Notice: George Wythe University is presently evaluating its overall marketing and recruiting strategies. As such this position has been suspended and interviews are not being conducted at this time. George Wythe University is seeking to fill the position of Director of Recruiting. This is a full-time position consisting of the following responsibilities:

  • Develop a successful outreach and recruiting strategic plan
  • Fill each degree program with qualified and able students
  • Schedule and conduct recruiting seminars with high school level organizations
  • Respond to inquiries about the university from prospective students
  • Conduct consultative interviews with prospective students
  • Work with students and faculty on recruiting efforts
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts with other departments
  • Develop relationships with affiliate organizations
  • Coordinates GWU booths and presence at student recruiting and other marketing events

The ideal candidate will be able to meet the following minimum standards:

  • Significant educational and\or professional background in recruiting, marketing, business or communications
  • Strong leadership and consensus building skills
  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized and be able to work well with faculty and staff
  • Polished presentation and interpersonal skills
  • A charismatic and sympathetic personality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent delegation and follow-up skills
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
  • An in-depth understanding of Thomas Jefferson Education and the completion of coursework in a George Wythe University on- or off-campus degree program.

Compensation includes a base salary, commission and full-tuition benefits for the Director and his or her immediate family.
