Auditing Classes

Students who do not wish to apply for acceptance into a degree program but would still like to attend classes may audit a class if space is available. All Online Courses, Extension Courses and Statesmanship Seminars are available for auditing. Auditing students do not receive GWU credit. However, if the student applies and is accepted into a GWU degree program while taking an audited course, they may become eligible to receive credit for that class. They would not be eligible to receive credit for previously audited classes. The cost for auditing classes is the same as the cost to enroll for credit. Students who wish to audit a class should follow these steps:

1. Go to the Student Center
2. Review options most appropriate for you (on-campus, online, extension, statesmanship seminars)
3. Follow the appropriate links to register online.
