Cost of Attendance

The published tuition for any college or university typically covers only a portion of the institution's actual costs. Oftentimes a subsidy equal to or greater than the posted tuition is provided through donor support, or in the case of public institutions, tax dollars.  While the average private college tuition in the U.S. is over $30,000 per year (before room and board) George Wythe University efficiently operates on roughly half that amount, and with our tuition set at only one fourth.  Given that the University does not receive government funds, it is the generous commitment of donors that bridges the actual costs.  All students benefit from this support, which amounts to an automatic scholarship of roughly $6,000 per student annually.

Financial Aid

A partial tuition waiver currently reduces the amount for returning students. Mission-based and needs-based scholarships may also be available for various amounts on a case-by-case basis for those who qualify.  Inquire with the registrar for more details.  All tuition is due before the beginning of the semester.

Full-time

15 course credits per semester.  Tuition below is for both on-campus and online enrollment, calculated at $288 per credit.

Fewer than 15 credits per semester.  Part-time students enroll on a class-by-class basis, either on-campus or online, calculated at $360 per credit.

NOTE: Partial tuition waivers are available for all continuing and returning students.  To apply the waiver, please contact the registrar.

 


Summer Semester (Online)

Tuition: All undergraduate students are eligible to take summer courses online in an accelerated two-month term.  Tuition is class-by-class. 

Due to the compressed time frame, students are encouraged to carefully consider the number of credits they enroll in during the summer term. Tuition must be paid in full prior to the beginning of the semester. 

 


Other Academic Activities and Events

Full time students participate in internships and simulation events as part of their regular semester tuition. Part time students pay on a per-credit basis. Fees vary.
