Registration for Auditing Students

Regular tuition for a 3 credit class is $945 for BA students.  Students who audit would normally pay the same amount, but because we are introducing evening courses in Winter 2014 we are allowing auditing students to take courses for an introductory tuition of $660.  Credits and grades are not automatically awarded to auditing students.  If a student is later accepted into a regular degree program and makes a formal request to convert auditing credit to graduation credit, it will be evaluated at that time.  Some limitations may apply.

Follow the instructions below to register for auditing an evening course.

  1. First, log into GWU's Online Services (OLS). If you do not yet have a username and password for OLS, follow the instructions provided for creating an account.

  2. Once you've logged into OLS, click "Register for classes" on the greeting page.

  3. Follow the steps as outlined through the registration process.  However, auditing students should refer back to this page in order to ensure that you follow the special instructions below:
    1. On Step 2: choose "seminars/events" instead of "online."
    2. After choosing your class(es), you will be taken to the student agreement page where you will be asked the date you expect to graduate.  Auditing students should choose Jan 2033.
    3. When making your payment, keep in mind that tuition is due in full before the first day of class.  This means that payment plans are not an option this close to the semester.

  4. If you encounter any problems during registration or if you have any questions, please contact Jeffery Francom at registrar@gw.edu or Maxine Trapp at 855.586.6570, ext 107.
