"When you re-read a classic you do not see in the book more than you did before.
You see more in you than there was before."
-Clifton Fadiman

What is the importance of classics? How can they impact your life and the world around you? Dr. Oliver DeMille said, "We must read the classics, and families must lead out, or we will cease to be the kind of nation that deserves success, prosperity, civilization or happiness." At this conference we learn why the classics are important and how to apply the principles we learn from reading the classics into our lives. We learn these things through:

  • Colloquia
    • The Horse and His Boy by CS Lewis
    • Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl
    • "If" by Rudyard Kipling (memorize)
  • Simulation
  • Lecture/Discussion
  • Mentoring from a counselor
